It's been a whole year since my last surgery needed to end my battle with cancer and I'm healthier physically and mentally than I've ever been. I'm now down to every 6 months for a check up (blood test and chest x-ray) and my doctor strongly believes I'm fully cured. I have a wonderful job working as a patient care tech at an amazing hospital and I love every second of it. But even more recent: I got accepted into nursing school!! Come August 2013 I will start working on becoming a registered nurse through an accelerated bachelors of nursing (ABSN) program. It'll be a bawlz crazy 12 months but it'll be so worth it. I can't wait to start clinicals and what to specialize in. Maybe someday when it's all over I'll return to IUPUI and work there as a nurse in hopes I'll encounter someone who ran into the same trouble as I did just so I can make their journey easier. I'm gonna be a nurse!!!!1
